Thank You Blavity et al

In a search for more than what mainstream media can offer, I stumbled across Blavity, and I am grateful for platforms like this that can connect us. In their own words, "Blavity is a community of the most exceptional multi-cultural creators and influencers in the world. We partner with diverse content creators and influencers to help them reach a wider audience, amplify their message, and fund their hustles. We believe that the world shifts according to the way people see it— and if you change the way people view the world, you can transform it." Amen!

This week we consider the principle Kuumba (Creativity): To do always as much as we can, in the way we can, in order to leave our community more beautiful and beneficial than we inherited it. In light of this, we send a very special thank you to the Blavity team, including Morgan DeBaun (CEO) and co-founders Jonathan Jackson, Jeff Nelson, and Aaron Samuels for their vision.

Of course, we include Essence, Jet, The Root, and others who have been staples within our community and played a major role in keeping us all connected, no matter if we are urban, suburban, domestic, or international. We are grateful to you and to all of your contributors. You have certainly left the world more beautiful!
