B L A C K ❤️🖤💚 L O V E

This is that all-day-every-day kind of love. That no-matter-what and even-if-the-wheels-fall-off committed love. Sometimes that I-can't-get-you-off-my-mind love that interrupts our day. You can describe it for yourself, but when you're in it, you're all the way in.

Black ❤️🖤💚 Love is all seven (7) Kwanzaa Principles manifest.

In our relationship, we strive for and to maintain unity (umoja). We have kujichagulia (self-determination) to define ourselves as individuals and as one unit. We practice ujima (collective work and responsibility) as well as, ujamaa (cooperative economics) when we decide to build a life together and work with one another--we are problem-solvers and we are profitable when we are in alignment. With nia (purpose), we establish our homes and are intentional in our relationship to make sure it is mutually restorative. Our actions are full of love and respect for one another.  Creativity (kuumba) occures when we expand our family with children (and grandchildren) and leave our community more beautiful and beneficial then we inherited it. Finally, we have imani (faith) when we believe in each other with all our heart.

Yes, people find love in many colors, shapes and sizes, but sorry to say, if you're not in Black Love, then you are definitely missing out. The best love songs were written from that I-love-you-more-than-words-can-say place. Songs like “Let’s Stay Together” by Al Green, “My Girl” by the Temptations or “Untitled (How Does It Feel?)” by D’Angelo. R&B artists like Marvin Gaye, The Isley Brothers, Barry White and Aretha Franklin tried to share it with the world.

Black Love is easy to feel in a moment, but hard to explain if you're not in that kind of relationship. It is revolutionary. It is that I-know-you-got-me and that I-trust-you-with-my-eyes-closed kind of relationship. Black love is the "goods". Be about it!

Special Thanks to the couples who went all-in and know what I'm talking about. You are inspiring. You are beautiful. You are timeless!

Shout out to Chef Dayo for the yummy creation of Black Love Seasoning! It really does go on E V E R Y T H I N G !
